Have you ever been “approached” by someone on Facebook who stuffed a so-called opportunity in your face?
Or maybe you’re the “approaches,” and you were the one who tried to promote your nice little opportunity to someone else.
Regardless of whichever one you are, this post is for you.
I want to go over a few tactics these marketers use, along with why they will not work.
I’ve been on both sides of the field, so I know exactly how they work.
In my early days of trying to make money online, I joined quite a number of high-ticket Ponzi schemes as well as several MLMs.
For starters, I was with Melaleuca and did not know what the heck I was doing.
I took my first steps in the real world and eventually tried my luck with social media.
That only led me to join my first Ponzi scheme and lose thousands of dollars in the process.
So, if you’ve heard of the Empower Network or even Neucopia, you bet I was a part of them.
Join EN and make higher commissions, they said.
You’ll be rich in a month they said.
Blah blah blah, I was broke and would’ve been broke with more problems had I actually made a killing with any of them.
Then, I dabbled in a couple of other gigs before finding the one program that worked for me.
With some real training and a super helpful community, I was able to finally make money on the internet.
All without recruiting a single person.
Not only did I finally succeed but it opened my eyes to what I once did and what millions of others are doing.
Marketing on social media.
The wrong way.
Facebook Networking = Recruiting
I love how the spammers on Facebook call themselves marketers.
“Let me show you how I was able to make $10k in a week” is usually what they will post.
If anyone had the time to show you how they were making money, you can bet that they are making their money by recruiting others.
Think about it.
If someone was making so much money doing whatever it is that they were doing, would they need to show anyone else?
Of course not.
No one is that nice, and that will only take you away from this so-called program that is making you money.
It’s not rocket science, and that is exactly what is going on.
So, if you joined someone and you are now trying to get others to join you, now would be a great time to stop.
UNLESS you are selling real products in exchange for money, today will be a great time to cut your losses and get with the program.
A right one at that.
For those of you who are into selling other people’s products, you might want to check out this list.
Sure, I can recommend Authority Hacker because they are really that good, but you can always pick and choose whatever you feel works best for you.
Pay to Play
This is exactly what you will do and need to do in order to make money playing the network marketing recruiting game.
Join here, and then you can start sharing your link with others.
Then (and only then) will you be able to make any money.
This is the worst kind of drama to get into, and this is exactly what Empower Network was about.
What is very popular these days is advertising-type gigs like Traffic and Funnels.
They leave all the high-priced goodness out of the marketing until you get in.
That’s when they start firing all kinds of money arrows at you.
They start you off low, and all of a sudden, you’ve just spent a couple thousand dollars.
Hype and Dreams
This is where all network marketing/social media selling starts.
Show you some kind of “product” that sparks your curiosity.
That then leads to a click, and all of a sudden, you’re listening, watching, or reading about so, and so’s crazy life story.
It resonates with you, and you start feeling all kinds of crazy emotions.
That could be me.
This is exactly what I’m going through right now.
I don’t care what it is, you are going to feel something.
Once you get that feeling, you will then be hit with the dollar signs.
Join this, and you, too, can make six figures a year.
With tunnel vision and your desire to make money online, you will do whatever it takes.
That will put the blinders on, and you will never know what hit you.
Millions of people are in this situation, and all that money is going right to the top.
Into the pockets of those who created this so-called business.
Conclusion – The System is Designed to Work Against YOU
Remember all that marketing talk about emotions and whatnot?
Well, that’s exactly how marketing works.
I don’t care if it’s from a Walmart ad or some network marketer; they are all there for you to fail.
Money will come out of your wallet faster than when it got in, and you’ll be back to living the paycheck-to-paycheck lifestyle.
The only winners will be those at the top, so unless you want to be a part of the problem, today is a great day to fix things.
So before you go thinking that you are going to get rich, ask yourself some very important questions.
Do you really know what you’re getting involved with?
Is network marketing really for you?
Could the “opportunity” possibly be a Ponzi scheme that you might not even notice?
Simple questions like that will take you far in life, and you will avoid scams easier as well.
The Solution
Stop everything you are doing.
The first thing you need to do is understand exactly what it is that you are getting yourself involved with.
We all want to make money, but it is not going to come easy.
If it is network marketing that you want to do, then hey, there is a whole industry for you to look into.
I did a post on what I think are the best MLM opportunities, so do check that out if you feel that network marketing is for you.
Don’t forget that you need an actual product for something to be legit.
Without one you can bet that you are involved in a good old Ponzi scheme.
Network marketing is great, but you need the right program along with the right tools.
Now if you aren’t into recruiting, you definitely should look into doing some affiliate marketing instead.
Besides that, where do you think you’ll be this time next year?
Couple of recruits here and there with a negative ROI?
That’s usually the case, so you might want to stop the bleeding now.
Thanks for reading, and good luck!
