FeaturePoints Review: Scam or Legit App?

Welcome to an honest and unbiased Feature Points review.

Most of you want to know if this is a scam or some legit site, and that’s great.

Telling what to join apart from what you need to avoid is not easy.

Thankfully, I have been around.

I’ve joined almost every survey-taking site, network marketing gig, or money-making opportunity out there.

Through that experience, I can tell what works and what doesn’t.

That brings me to what we are about to discuss: FeaturePoints.

FeaturePoints makes some claims of making money through simple tasks, and they don’t ask for any money.

Is that really possible, or should you be skeptical about things?

Well, you should always be skeptical if you don’t know anything about a program.

Especially when it comes to dealing with money.

So, great job in finding this review, as I will be explaining how everything works.

Before you go signing up for anything, let’s see exactly what you will be getting involved with.

What Is FeaturePoints About?

FeaturePoints is both an app and a website where people can make money by taking part in earning opportunities.

Users can get paid to complete surveys, watch videos, try apps, refer others, and more.

It’s an app I have used off and on for the past few years.

While I don’t invest as much time anymore, I have always considered it a nice way to make some extra cash.

FeaturePoints was first launched back in 2012 and has paid out $5.8 million in rewards.

They have also had over 5 million installs on the Google Play Store.

Not too bad for a survey site, as most don’t accomplish anything close to that.

Getting Started With FeaturePoints

FeaturePoints is available worldwide.

However, there are terms and conditions just like any other site.

You need to be at least 13 years old to join.

Now, if you’re under 16, you will need parental permission.

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s talk about the signup stage.

You can do this by either going to ‘FeaturePoints.com‘ or by downloading the app.

It can be found on either IOS or the Google Play Store.

There are two ways to make an account.

You have the option of Facebook, which you will need to connect to or you can input your email address.

To go to the next stage, the captcha needs to be completed, and then you are good to move on.

From here, you will need to create a password for yourself and accept the terms of using their service.

Lastly (and this is very helpful), you get 50 points if you have an invite code.

Here’s mine to get you started =====> HH7S2R

They do ask for some more information, and this includes your postal code, gender, and date of birth.

That is mainly so they can match you with the right surveys later on and to ensure you are a real person.

How Can You Make Money?

how-to-earn-featurepoints

As I mentioned earlier, there are numerous ways to earn money with FeaturePoints.

I will be covering all the ways you can earn money.

However, not each method works on both desktop and mobile.

It’s not the best thing, but it’s also not the worst.

I mean, if you’re going to use your phone, then you’re going to use your phone, right?

Don’t worry, though, as I will let you know how each one works and what they require.

I do like this one because, unlike Opinion Outpost and Pinecone Research, you get to do something other than take surveys.

1. Downloading Apps

One of the main features of FeaturePoints is downloading apps.

Obviously, this can only be done using the FeaturePoints app.

You will need to scroll down on the list of apps, choose one, and install it on your mobile device.

Some may require you to open them for 30 seconds, while some may need you to do more for them to credit.

E.g., as you can see from the image below, I am looking at an app called ‘Casino Slots.’ You get a massive 2064 points, but you need to play through till level 32.

The points tend to reflect how much time and effort is needed.

So, the ones with higher payouts will require you to do more.

2. Surveys

I don’t mind completing the odd survey, and with Feature Points, they have a range of them available.

They can be done either on the app or by using the desktop.

However, from my experience, they offer the best experience using the desktop.

These are survey routers that they are partnered with.

FeaturePoints does not create these surveys; instead, third-party companies pay them to get them in front of the right people.

The surveys are initially locked as you will need to complete a short ‘About You’ questionnaire.

That is only four questions long and gives you 500 points.

Once completed, you will have access to surveys worth up to 5000 points.

Including Tap Research, PollFish, and Peanut Labs.

If you would like to find out more about surveys, check out this guide I made not too long ago.

3. Offers and Tasks

The offer section allows you to complete different types of activities for points.

That includes downloading apps, free trials, and more.

With the free trials, let me warn you that they can require CC details.

So always have a full read of anything you complete before going any further.

There’s a variety of these to choose from, though, and points range up to 5000 points.

4. Referring Others

first-reward

This is probably the easiest way to earn a quick $5 as well.

By simply sharing FeaturePoints, you can make some cash.

On top of that $5, you will also get 50% of whatever your referral earns.

It isn’t exclusive to just your friends, but by inviting other people to the panel, you can earn money.

For each person who joins using your link and completes a task, you will get half of that money.

Share a free way to make money, and you get paid.

Not to say you’re going to make anything close to what you would with something like affiliate marketing but it is free and can make you something.

5. Contests

This opportunity rewards the users who are frequently earning points in the Feature Points dashboard.

For every 20 points you earn, you will earn one point, which you can use to enter a contest.

You have the choice between the weekly contest that pays out at $25 and the monthly one that will reward one user with $150.

This can be a little time-consuming but worth it if you actually win.

I’ve personally never won, so I don’t waste my time there.

How To Cash Out Your Earnings?

To get the money you have earned, you will need to meet the minimum thresholds.

At Feature Points, you will need to have made 600 points for a reward, this equates to $1.

The number of points required depends on the value of the reward. For instance, for a $5 Amazon Voucher, you will need 3000 points.

However, lets now list what is available to you:

  • PayPal
  • Visa Gift Card
  • iTunes
  • Zalando
  • Amazon
  • Google Play
  • PlayStation
  • Xbox
  • Starbucks
  • Nike
  • Bitcoin

Once you have redeemed a reward, you won’t be able to get your points back, so be careful with your choice.

Also, know that rewards take up to 2 working days to be processed and sent to you.

Gift vouchers will be sent to your email, whereas PayPal will be sent straight to your account.

Why I Like FeaturePoints

Some things are better than others, and that is very much so with FeaturePoints.

They might not be anything like what Wealthy Affiliate can provide, but for things like “completely free”, I’m sure you can understand.

Here are some of the stuff I like about FeaturePoints.

1. Good When You’re Bored

Feature Points is an excellent app to use in your spare time, as downloading apps and completing surveys isn’t time-consuming.

So, if you find yourself with spare time, you will be able to see tasks on the app that you can complete to fill that void.

2. No Complaints With The Payout System

The payout system is good, and unlike some opportunities, they have made getting a payout achievable.

What some making money apps like to do is set the threshold high, so only those who pursue it for months get rewarded.

That isn’t the case with this one, as most rewards, like I talked about, only require 1000 points, which does seem doable.

Another aspect of the payment system that stands out is Bitcoin.

There aren’t too many companies supporting cryptocurrencies, and this one does.

It gives you a chance to earn something without investing your money.

3. Lucrative Referral Program

An aspect that does stand out is their generous referral program, which gives out up to 50%.

If you have been following my blogs recently, I reviewed Swagbucks, which, to put it into perspective, only gives you 15% of the people you invite earnings.

Don’t get me wrong, I rate Swagbucks highly as one of the best reward sites I’ve used, but this does put into perspective how good the Feature Points referral program is.

It might sound a little bratty, but I think a nice referral program is always best.

4. Capped Earnings

You have your surveys, offers, referral programs, contests, and apps.

However, after that, there aren’t unlimited opportunities.

You will, of course, have a variety to do within these categories, but as you can imagine, there is only a certain amount you can make.

I don’t want to take anything away from FeaturePoints, but realistically, you won’t be bringing in 4 figures or, in other words, paying rent to test out apps on your phone.

These apps have their purpose, and that is to help you earn an income online while, on their end, keeping their business afloat.

The Downside of FeaturePoints

ate-surveys

There is one thing that I did not like with FeaturePoints, and it isn’t something you just brushed aside.

This might be the dealbreaker for some of you, but I still think their referral program makes up for it.

With FeaturePoints, not every survey will work.

Now, the worst part about these surveys is not the fact that you won’t get paid for them either.

It’s the fact that you can go through a whole survey, and that’s when you learn that you won’t get paid.

I don’t know about you, but my time is very precious, and none of it can be wasted.

Don’t have me complete a survey and then tell me it’s not available.

How does that even make sense?

I do like the whole “someone ate all the surveys” thing, but please don’t waste my time.

Final Verdict: Legit

At the very least, FeaturePoints is a legitimate app I recommend to any of you looking to make a little extra cash in your free time.

It will not make you rich, but you can bet that they will pay.

There are other scams like National Consumer Center that claim to be free but then ask you to pay later on down the road.

FeaturePoints does not ask for any money, and they will never do it in the future, either.

They have been around for a really long time, and they won’t be going anywhere soon.

Take what you can while they are paying well, and share this post with others.
