There’s a difference between finding your passion and having one, but sometimes people can be confused.
You usually have one when it comes to making money with your passion (especially on the internet).
Flying drones, playing soccer, or other hobbies that most normal people have.
If you don’t have one, well, you’ll have to find one if you plan on making a living doing something you enjoy.
I wouldn’t call it a calling of some sort but rather something you need to do if you want all the benefits of the territory.
If you don’t have one that comes to mind, don’t worry.
I was that same exact way, and coming up with one wasn’t easy either.
Call me a weirdo, but that’s how things were, and I wasn’t going to let something like that get in the way.
Today, I want to talk about your passion, money and how you can put the two together to live a life that most will only dream of.
It isn’t easy, but I’m sure the end result will be worth all the effort.
The journey will not be easy, but as long as you stick with the plan, you, my friend, will become another online success story.
So, How Do You Find Your Passion?
There is not one answer but rather many tips that can lead to accomplishing exactly that.
The thing about this passion is the fact that it’s supposed to do several things.
- Allow you to enjoy what you do
- Give you more time
- Work wherever you want
- Set your own hours
- Be your own boss
- And most especially, make more money
That’s the goal you can accomplish by following what I am about to go over in this post.
We all know that there are no guarantees in the make-money arena, but I’m 100% sure that you will at least get started on the right track.
Change Your Mentality
As an entrepreneur, this is the absolute most crucial piece of success.
There are several things that you must understand, and it requires this thing called change.
I don’t care what your 5th-grade teacher taught you about success and life, and I want you to pretend you never heard anything.
Every normal person out there will give you their best advice, and they always seem to know what’s best.
And yes, this includes your parents.
You see, guys, when it comes to succeeding in life, changes are a must.
Everyone and their mothers will tell you everything you don’t need to hear, and if you can’t accept that they are wrong, then you will not succeed.
Teachers, janitors, and even doctors will give you what they think are the best ideas when it comes to winning at this thing called life.
“Go to college and get a degree in something you are passionate about.”
That seems to be the most common advice and one that I am not too fond of.
How is working for someone even close to being a passion?
How is being a doctor living on your own terms or even being your own boss?
Now, if you put that skill into a business, we’re talking.
The point here is not to think about how to move up in the ranks, find ways to get more pay or do anything that comes with a regular old J-O-B.
You need to think about working for yourself and being the one who sets your hours and decides how much money you will make.
Break Tradition
Our parents are usually the biggest mentors in our lives, and that’s fine.
They have some great wisdom and will teach you everything you need to know when it comes to respect and other similar things in life.
When it comes to money and living life through your passion, they will probably be the first to stop you in your tracks.
“Stop sitting behind that computer and get a real job.”
That’s exactly what my mom told me, and it is something that I will never forget.
Of course, I still love my mom, but it does not mean I need to listen to everything she says.
We have to remember that we are all adults, and we will eventually be giving advice to other humans that we will create.
What we once grew up with is long and gone, and we do need to understand that.
What worked back in 1990 will probably not work today.
Times have changed, and we need to adapt to success will not likely be our friend.
Traditional stores have changed big time, and that’s the first thing we need to understand.
When you see stores like Toys R’ Us and other big names closing, you can bet that the way we make money also has.
I don’t care what profession or passion you might have.
You can bet that there is a way to make money through this thing called the Internet.
It is how I make my living and how many others make theirs.
Think outside the box, and you will separate yourself from the norm.
Surround Yourself With No One
You are the average of your five closest friends.
That can not be any more true and something you need to understand if you plan on making your living with your passion.
Chances are that you’re in a circle of friends that will truly not get you to where you want to be.
They most likely don’t have the same drive and passion for achieving more, and they probably don’t care about it, either.
Keep yourself around that, and you will eventually roll back down the hill with the same thoughts and ideas.
You’ll never leave that job that pays the bills, and you will find all the excuses as to why you stopped pursuing something better.
Some of you will not know this, but that little circle you’re in is why you aren’t progressing.
In most cases, you will need to make a major sacrifice.
No one will understand your decision, but your wallet will thank you later.
My old circle consisted of bar hopping daily and getting drunk.
Without making the change, I can promise I would not be where I am today.
Do understand that no one is interested in taking a risk, and no one will truly support you in your entrepreneurial endeavors.
They might say they do, but we know actions speak louder than words.
Get With the Right Program
When it comes to passion and income, there isn’t much you can do.
Thanks to the internet, though, there are more options than you think.
Blogging will always be my first recommendation for anyone looking to make money through your passion.
Start a blog on your passion, and you will see how making money with it is possible.
I personally recommend a program called Wealthy Affiliate as they will teach you the ins and outs of making money on the internet.
I don’t care what passion you have or don’t have, you need to at least give their free membership a try.
Besides that, I hope you can take advantage of your passion and the internet and share that with billions of people online.
Doing so allows you to do what you love, help others in the process, and make more money than you think.
Do nothing, and you will make the same in return.
