Yup, you read that right.
The city of Tulsa, Oklahoma is paying individuals ten thousand dollars just for moving to their city.
Thanks to the George Kaiser Family Foundation, such a thing is possible and you might just be able to take advantage of this offer.
Such a thing is actually really common as cities are always looking to bring in a means to boost their economy.
That’s also the reason why they aren’t just bringing in any old Tom, Dick, and Harry.
So here’s the scoop.
With a population of just over 400,000, the city is offering $10,000 for you to live there for at least a year.
In exchange for your body, you will get some cash, assistance for housing, exclusive perks and events, as well as your very own office space.
The city is looking for 250 remote workers who are doing interesting things with their life, have an interesting business, or “are very into trying new things”.
the cost of living is a lot lower than in most cities and they have enough city life for you to not get bored.

Requirements
- Must be able to relocate within 6 months
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Employed full-time remotely or self-employed outside of Tulsa
- Eligible to work in the United States
You can learn more at Tulsaremote.com and see what else the city has to offer if you are interested.
The catch?
Well, for one, the payment does not come in all at once.
You will be paid over the course of a year, which amounts to less than $900 per month.
Seeing numbers a lot smaller than $10K really does put things into perspective but it can definitely help those that can work wherever they want.
The other thing that can have you thinking twice about moving to Oklahoma is that you will have to be there for at least a year.
So if you plan on moving there just to make some quick cash, I’m sure you knew it wasn’t going to be that easy.
I still think this is a great opportunity for anyone who works remotely and especially online.
You get to explore a new city and you are still being paid a decent amount of money for doing so.
I’m sure getting $10K upfront is a lot better but just under $900/month is also not that bad.
Applications are available, so do see if you qualify as a soon-to-be resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
